WTB: Oktava MK-012 Pair (matched or unmatched)

I'm looking for a pair of Oktava MK-012 SDCs. I would consider either a matched or unmatched pair. I'm only looking for the Russian made versions, not the Chinese. Please let me know if you have a pair for sale.

I think eBay will be your best bet. You might be able to find an unmatched pair for just over $400.

I usually find better prices outside of eBay. Plus, why should we give them our money if we don't have to?

Yeah, I usually find better prices outside of eBay too, but these mics tend to be hard to find used.
 
Well, I found a good deal on a single MK-012 on ebay. Now I just need one more.
 
You know even the knock off Chinese pair that I have ..... aren't that bad at all.

I wouldn't think they would be that bad. It's the same design with a few cheaper components, so it can't be total garbage right?
 
I imagine if I did the cap mod they would be very good
 
I do have a real pair totally modded by Michael Joly at Oktavamod and they are incredible!
 
I've heard so many good things about these mics after mods that I've decided to have it done as soon as I get them. Comparing clips of the stock mk-012 to an SM81, the Mk-012 just slightly wins out to my ears (very slightly). Part of my reason to go with these instead of the sm81s is that they are so much better after modification.
 
That and you have interchangeability of the pattern heads!
 
So, I found some Mk-012s. I had already bought one on ebay for $145 shipped, an I thought that was a pretty good deal. Then I saw guitar center had 2 used ones. I just called and bought the 2 for $124 including tax, shipping, and a 14 month warranty! It sounds like they don't come with cases, but they might have clips and pads.
