I am looking for either the rack module OR the keyboard itself for one of the following:

Kurzweil K-2600
Kurzweil K2500
Kurtzweil - PC2

Yamaha Motif 6, 7 or 8

Anyone have one they want to sell??

As some can attest to on here, I am good a paying fast, and making quick and fair deals.

Thanks & Peace

I have a Kurzweil K2500 but I love it too much to sell it :o . I suggest one, they do it all. Keep your eyes peeled on ebay and make someone a straight offer. I got mine for 1300 shipped.

Are you familiar with the Korg Triton? And if so, how would you compare these 2 keyboards (the Triton vs the Kurzweil 2500)? I currently have a Triton, (among other boards) but want to add either a Kurzweil 2500, 2600 or a Yamaha Motif to the collection.

Any comparison input would be appreciated.

Peace

FWIW, I have both a triton and several Kurzweils. There are very different beasts, and sound different. My Kurzweil K2600 is still my go-to bread-and-butter synth.

Fraiser,,,is that because of the Kurzweils sounds,,, or the feel of playing it (or both)? I have an opportunity to get a Motif 6 for $700.00 vs the Kurzweil 2600 for $1300. I was thinking if the Kurzweil is for the sounds more then anything, then I would buy the Motif, and also then a Kurzweil rack unit maybe>??

decisions decisions,,,,,

I appreciate the input from you guys.

Peace

Actually, my Kurzweils and my Triton are rack modules - I use a StudioLogic controller - so it's the sound that I am referring to.
Although I personally feel that, other than pehaps the Yamaha S90, the kurzweil has the best keyboard feel (weighted anyway) available. They use Fatar keyboards, hence why I use a Studiologic controller (they bought Fatar).

$1300 for the 2600 is a good deal. I wouldn't think twice about it.

Well I took the advice of you guys. ;) I was offered a new condition (demo) Kurzweil K2600XS with the sampling option, plus upgraded memory, extra sample disks and a Hardshell SKB case for $1600.00 (shipping included) from a Kurtweil dealer. I hope thats a good deal   :D

I just bought it today, so I hope its going to be as amazing as its made out to be. :D

I think I got a good deal on it, so I passed on the regular K2600 for $1300.00 or the Motif for $700.00.

Thanks for all your advice and experiences. And if i dont like this thing, or its not user friendly, watch out on ebay! :D :D

Peace
