I have a delta 1010 ,.,.,with the housed converters in the box in excellent condition.

Make me an offer I cant refuse.

Is it the rackmount version? I forgot to specify that...

You could just ad two more 44's for a total of 12 ins and outs....

I have three mounted to a rack shelf, a rack shelf is exactly 3 wide between the ears. The 44's have come down quite a bit in price.

Just my two cents

The converters on the 44 are worse than some consumer cards. The converters on the 1010 are totally dif.

I have the rackmount version. The landmark and still the most system compatible/stable 10 in 10 out card under $1k.

yeah, the 44 isn't stackable though, the 66 is. you have to have the digital i/o on the card, which the 66 has and the 44 doesn't. i went back and forth with m-audio support on this one, they said sometimes it's possible and sometimes not, but if you do get it to work, they don't always clock up correctly.

i'd rather just avoid the headache and go with the 1010.

and yeah, price sure has come down - when i bought it, it was over $300! now you can get them on ebay for half that.

I'm looking to spend about $300 for the rackmount version, that's around what they're going for on Ebay. If someone wants to be a kind soul and sell one for even less.... :D

The 44 is stackable, hence why i said I have 3...

Curiosity about the converters, even if they are built in, is it possible to use some other converter?

I believe if it has spdif out then yes (assuming the 1010 has spdif in, obviously).

I asked this very question a few days ago.
