I finally got my mr-8 and we were planning on recording this weekend... but i have a question-

Is there anyway i can make Windows 98 second edition work with my mr-8?
cause it says something about 98 in the .pfd file -->wav manager readme?
how can i make this work?
or do i have to get a flash card reader?
and how much do those cost?- where is a good place to get them?
and what is your advice?
thanks for you help

Andrew;

I don't own a MR-8 (yet). I have the VF 160CDR. I've read a few threads here about the same question you are asking and it seems that With 98/98SE you do have to have a Card Reader to make it work and they are cheap. I think the going price is 20-25 bux.

Yes

Axe is right, you need a card reader. They are not much and can be had almost anywhere (CompUSA; BestBuy;etc). There are also card readers that will read ALL current media types. This won't be an advantage for the MR8 card, but will make your reader more versatile if you buy other media, say for a digital camera. Just make sure whatever reader you get is for the type used in the MR8.

ahhh ok-
i'll make sure and get a compact flash card reader right?
thanks for your help
hopefully i'll be able to get our recording off the ground...
man o man- so many set backs.. but it's all good
- maybe i'll post a link to a song or two once we get done.
Our music is going towards the mogwai, radiohead, roadside monument type feel - anyone like that kind of stuff?

well thanks for the help
