If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Everytime I burn a WAV file to a CD, all that comes out is white noise when i play it back. I use Cubasis VST 4 and Wavelab lite to record from my 8-track multitracker. It's in Wavelab lite where i save the sound file as a WAV file. First, I tried to burn the Wav files to a CD using Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7 burning software. Then a pop up came up saying that 'this format is not supported' I guess it didn't recognize it as a WAV file. Then i tried to burn the WAV files on to CD using Dell Juke Box. It burned it onto CD, but when i played the CD it was white noise. Does anyone know what's going on with this?

Could be that you're recording at 24-bit resolution - CD players expect 16-bit. You can probably fix this in a menu when exporting from Cubasis - once you get it in a 16-bit wave (at a sample rate of 44.1k) you should no longer see the "not supported" popup.

Thanks man, you nailed the problem right on the head man. I was saving them as 24-bit WAVs instead of 16.
Thanks a lot bro.

I only knew because I'd done it . . . I've done it with unconverted MP3s too - it was kind of painful since the volume was up ;)
