I have been using the MDA limiter on vocals for the last longest with great results but wanted to experiment with some other plugs. What limiters do yall use on vocals???

I don't use limiters, I use compressors.

As far as freeware goes, I used Kjarus Classic Compressor for a long time. Now I use a UAD LA-2A.

I'd like to echo RAMI's Q but with different punctuation:
Limiter? On vocals?

So many vocalists have natural limitations.:)

Well I had been using regular compressors for a long time, and I took someones advice on here and tried using a limiter. It sounded soo much better to me and I have been using it since. I thought more people used limiters!

Can you explain what you mean by "It sounded so much better", considering we're talking about something that shouldn't really change the "sound" as much as it deals with levels. What sound difference do you actually hear between your "un-limited" vocal track and the vocal track with a limiter?

Well I guess what I'm trying to say is that for me, it worked better at compressing than the other compressers I tried, which is ReaComp with Reaper and a few other free ones. Maybe I should go back and work with them or try some new comps!
