Where do you see things going in the next 10 years?

Surround won't make as big of a spash as some think. Too many logistics problems. Mainly in that it doesn't translate to all environments. For example, cars, walkmans, boomboxes, etc. (well, it may translate to car surround systems). Surround does not lend itself to portability and it is more useful in the home theater environment.

Then again, they might use multi-format disks that will play either stereo or surround...

Yep, the future is MULTIMEDIA. And anyone with multi-talent will weild enormous power.

I didn't have to suck up to a single person to do this.

I see a lot of consternation among the "big boy" mic manufacturers after Stephen Paul's new Chinese mic is released...

Then I see all vocals sounding like they're on helium, as everyone immediately switches to boring adult contemporary in order to fully accentuate that "air-being-let-out-of-a-tire," "ocean breeze" quality the SP mic lends to their glossed-over vocal tracks.

On the live scene front im hopeing that the DJ's and dancing girls will have fucked of and the good musicians will come back. And it would be good for a change if the record companies and the powers to be let the GOOD musicians filter to the top like they use to. Then I might go out again to see some real entertainment.
