My last purchase was the M-Audio fast track pro sound interface which is great. I have also bought the Shure SRH440 headphones which became best family's friend....

I got into home recording around Memorial Day, about two months ago. Since then, I've been on a GAS-fueled studio-building jag which is only now starting to taper off (now that I have all the basics and a little more).

Most recently, I picked up a small synth (microKORG), a bass practice amp (Ampeg BA-110), and a couple of guitar pedals (MXR Classic 108 Fuzz and VOX Wah).

The last item I purchased specifically for recording/mixing was a Lexicon MX300 reverb. I absolutely love it so far, but haven't had a chance to use it too much yet.

The wife and kid will be outta town for two weeks very soon, and I intend to get lots of recording done during that time!

Used Behringer V-verb. This has a great RMS compressor, it also has a peak compressor but I haven't tried that yet. Some of the verbs on it are pretty, good, nothing mindblowing that I've discovered yet though.

Dean Dime series. I like the tone a LOT, I'm re-recording some guitar trax on old songs with it.

I played that guitar....once. hated it. every palm mute would make the strings go waaaaaay sharp, almost to the point of having to play things a half-step down. that has got to be the most sensitive Floyd Rose on the planet. it turned me off to them forever.

on the bright side, I realized why I could never get in tune with Pantera

not knocking your guitar, just sayin I personally couldn't do anything with it

EDIT: on second thought, it may have been the original DimeBolt(the one where the bolts all come from behind the bridge 'bucker)

The Floyd bridge on my Scoop always gave me hell too. I switched to a Tele because the bridge didn't move. :laughings:

after playing that guitar, I promptly went out and bought a guitar with the 3 piece bridge(or stop-tail, or something, I get 'em all confused)

I like the fixed bridge myself too. I never really do much tremolo or dives. But I mostly play rhythm so that would probably explain it :p I don't have the mad guitar skills to make use of a whammy bar much.

I managed to gain enough strength in my bony fingers to bend two strings on the Tele at once. So I didn't really need a whammy bar either.

I spent a couple hours at the grand opening of a new mega music store (well pretty good sized anyway) - I realized I got just about everything I need already :p
