i left my studio 32 on while i ran to the store, about an hour an a half, and came back to a board that was making all theze crackling, loud staticy sounds?! And my lights were flickering on and off, and wasnt staying lit on most of em. PLEEEEEZE tell me thats not the sign of a "fried" mixer, and there is nothin i can do but spend more money, cuzz i just dont have it! I just shelled out my only left over xmas money to get a pair of monitors, TODAY!

Sounds like the power supply is possibly going bad. Couldn't be TOO hard to replace, but the parts might run you a bit.

Why don't you ask Alesis tech support what is wrong? Or, take it back to the store if it is under warrantee.

Good luck.

Those boards are notorius for having power supply issues. I know there was one member on here a while back who had at least 3 power supplies replaced in the same mixer in just a matter of months. I hate to say it but its probably cheaper to just buy a new one if you have to pay a repair bill.

I dumped my Studio 32 - after a huge repair bill.

Alesis does not even service these - They refer to Audio Design Service in North Hollywood (Great guys) - and I understand now that ADS will not take any new work on these boards - warranty only.

Studio 32's were nice for the features but notorious for problems.

I may get flamed on this but I bought a Behringer MX9000. 24 channel inline A/B - This has been UNBELIEVABLY good for me - maybe I got lucky but it works very well. I did put it in a good case.

It is clean and the sound is fantastic - I use an Alesis HD24 with it for live recording.

Yeah, I guess him having a GREAT experience with Behringer will make him sorry because dumbassses here will flame him for life as he continues to have a great experience with a Behringer product.
