what the **** kind of remote do I need for an otari???!!!

I've bought two freaking otari remotes on ebay and neither of them work with my 8 track.

I have:

otari mx-5050 mk III 1/2" 8 track

I bought:

otari 127 remote locater
otari 116 remote locater

neither of them work with my machine!

also, if anyone would like to buy them, message me. the 116 is new old stock... completely unused with original packaging.

Don't know for sure, but the cr 705a should probably work.

hey do you remember who that person was or how I can get a hold of him? I'm recording a demo at home for a big fancy label, and I really want to do the whole thing on my otari. but it's a huge pain in the ass to record in a separate room and have to go back and forth to the control room everytime I want to stop tape or use any basic transport functions whilst overdubbing.
