There are many things out there but if your looking for true quaility architecture in sound, you cannot get better than UA stuff. They don't make much in the line of weird stuff, but the real tools needed to make top quaility music & sound, they make the best I have heard

You may be right to a degree, however, I received no response from my PM to the OP, asking him if we were incorrect about our assumptions. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and offered him the ability to rephrase his post, delete the stabs at him, and start over. This was 6 days ago. No response.
Sorry you feel that I am being a bully. I find nothing wrong with stating my opinion, especially when the member does not even try to respond to the inferences that by the way, I did not even start here.

And seriously, anyone that has ever bought a Waves product, knows about the WUP program, and how obviously the OP did not pay for the software he asked about.
This line of unacceptable posting in the TOS is enough:"Encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, or that may give rise to civil liability".
Legally, possession, of illegal software is a criminal offense. No, we are not here to play judge or jury for anyone. But, he was given the opportunity to state his case. He is not banned, because there is no actual proof that he stole anything. Not my role here, and not for any of us to reprimand him for unless he actually shows that he has stolen the software.
That being said, someone caught stealing from me, in my home, would be likely shot. The OP was not threatened with his life, because he didn't steal from me. That doesn't mean that I cant razz on him as a site member. Not abusing mod power by any means. Just stating my opinion, based on his post, and lack of desire to respond to the inference of his alleged illegal software. All opinions here are valid. That is what a forum is based on, the last time I checked.

Seriously though -- Pirates have cost me sooooo much - in large chunks - that I basically won't even hang around forums that don't either eject them or at least strongly come down on them somehow ---

I won't say it's cost me anything, cos I'm not making money at this game, but it does infuriate me when someone strolls in fresh faced with a few grands worth of stuff that I actually paid for.

Obviously I'm not as experienced as Steen, but I've enjoyed the compressors...keep in mind though that all I had before this was free plug-ins, so I'm not sure how they measure up to other marketed plug-ins! I like em though Yeah for real. I haven't had to pay a ton because of pirates, but my rage at them comes from the fact that I have to keep track of a stupid little dongle thing just so I'll be able to run my legal, paid-for version of Cubase 6.5!!!

I use UAD mostly...just upgraded to UAD-2 duo...cant seem to max out them out...got the Cambridge EQ for $39 in the sale with a voucher lol, love the filters
but I also use Focusrite Liquid Mix...its a temperamental fucker, you have to turn on your PC before plugging it in, and it need its own firewire card with a TI chip, theres just the one GUI for all the plugs...but it has 40 compressers and 20 EQs and some of them are blinding
its also cheap as chip on fleabay...has real knobs to twiddle and lights that flash lol (most important!)
seriously there are a couple of emulations I prefer to the UAD ones, and it has a free mode thats a very neat little trick
check them out if you have a limited budget and/or cpu
