What plugins do you use?

I used waves stuff in the past on a buddies setup, and my recordings sucked. Now I just use the built in ones in Reaper, and my recordings still suck, I just saved $1000.

The only cool pirates are the ones with eye patches. OP, do you have an eye patch?

I've used the gold bundle in a TDM environment. They really are nice plugins.

I just don't care for waves policy on most things.

man, i haven't been on a good witchhunt in a while. thanks guys, it was overdue.

I should keep myself in check, but sometimes I just lose it when it comes to people with no respect for the hard work of others. Not just the software developers, but every fool who thinks that just because they have software the pro's use, that they can somehow find talent from them. I often hear "well I have those plugs too, so I can just do that at home right?" Well, go ahead. I'll see you back here to do it right. Piracy directly affects my income as well as it does the writers of the software. Some days, it just strikes a nerve, and I lose it.

Time for a beer.

Cheers to those with respect!!!:drunk:

LOL.
I remember not telling people that I had Waves platinum at the start, purely because I didn't think they'd believe me.

Now I still use Waves and digidesign stock plugs exclusively.

I only bought a few of the Waves plugs myself. I spent lots of time at another studio that had most of them. I knew I wanted the API collection, and the L2. Most other stuff seemed kind of one trick pony stuff for the price. Well, the reverbs were cool, but haven't justified the cost. Cubase convolution IR works just fine for me. I am a big fan of the PSP eq's. Vintage Warmer is probably my favorite VST purchase ever!

I got a good deal on the platinum bundle used. I think that kinda tipped it for me.

I do like their GUIs though, and the eqs/verbs just appealed to me from day one.
Waves tune is pretty cool too, on the rare occasion that I'll use it.

I bought Melodyne, but rarely use it anymore. Cubase Variaudio takes care of most issues, unless I am creating harmony vocal tracks.

Which Waves EQ's are you liking? I'm due for a new purchase. :)

The Req is the one I use, but the bundle also has Q10 and linear phase eq.

I really should get to know them.

I have heard good things about the Ren set. I may just get it. It only $260. :)

For the entire Ren bundle, or just the eqs?
I do like the Rverb too.

Interestingly, I don't think I've ever used the R compressors.......Shame on me.

The entire Ren bundle. Seems worth it to me. I'll try out the compressors and let you know what you have. lol!

:)

LOL. Thanks Jim.

I'm dog sitting at the minute, so I think I'll fire up an old session tomorrow and just play with some 'new' plugs.
You know you can demo them first right? 30 days, I think.

Yeah, I will be doing that. I might be old, but not stupid. lol!

Well, sometimes I have dumb moments for sure....
