I'm going crazy here ?
I was told it's an sm7b but it's clearly the wrong shape... Isn't it???
It just picks up everything in the vocal beautifully

Well whoever said it’s an SM7B is as blind as a bat. The lighting isn’t good in this video. It COULD be a Nickel Shure KSM8, but I can’t tell for sure.

My guess is a Shure KSM8. Definitely not an SM7b.
In one section of the second linked video you can catch a not too clear glimpse of the Shure badge on the side of the headbasket.

aha! Yes indeedy. I've got the shiny silver version and while it's a nice mic, it's sort of lacking character. It reminds me of those old AKG D190's - quite pleasant mics but just not standing out. The lack of proximity effect might work for some things, but I found it a bit lacking on stage, and NOT being able to get the bass boost was quite a drawback, live.
