Haaaa... We all use computer, right ? It's time to tell the world, what do you love the most of your computer(s). For me, it goes to my keyboard. Yup... Without dissrespecting the rest part of the computer, I just love it. My tinny fingers got used to it sooo much. I've upgraded my DAW 6~7 times since 1995, and the only one left un-upgraded is the keyboard. Even if I have to put the old 5 din -MIDI like connector- to newer -PS2 like connector- converter. I love to have it ever after.

I should have written a song about it...

I love my computer's keyboard.

My Zalmen "Flower" heatsink. I'm hoping I never have to replace it.

Ah, but the hardware is just an empty shell, I love my computers soul. It's like with a woman. Sure you can admire the memory or the monitor, but what it really comes down to is what programs are running - the software.

My video system, I suppose. Nothing quite as geek heaven for me as recording on a laptop with a widescreen and a second monitor sitting right next to it...

Makes me feel like a king. Such a thing was unheard of 2 years ago. Two screens doesn't even slow this thing down! I remember working on the unix workstations in GIS lab in college. Only the REALLY smokin' ones had 2 screens. Even though its common as rain these days, it still makes me feel like a bad@ss!

Now if I had a second widescreen LCD I'd be in even more geek heaven (and VERY deep debt.)

Take care,
Chris

Same here. Although getting a wireless keyboard crossed my mind lately, I'm very happy with my ancient keyboard. DIN plug, coil cord, no windows keys, noisy as hell (CLUNK!) when you hit the keys but so far it's the best keyboard that I've ever tried.

I like a couple of things.... firstly my wireless keyboard and mouse... handy for recording.

Secondly is my relatively new 19" monitor which is sitting next to my old crappy 15".

If I can add one other thing... my Edirol Da-2496. It's what I use to record onto the computer.

I love my Yamaha CD-RW, because it has a blue LED--but not just any blue LED, a Blue Ice LED! It flashes two completely different shades of blue!

My DVD-ROM drive has an ugly yellowish green LED. I hate it.

It warms up my room, takes care of my mail, and listens to my music without complaining.

Better than a dog really :D !

Last night I had sound problems. And with some assurance from Emeric, today I discovered that the manufacturer did not hook up the jumper caps properly. All it took was the removal of three screws and the video card to get to the jumpers and fix the problem. I have never had a video card come out so easily, and i was able to hook up the tiny wires with my giant man hands with the greatest of ease. It was easier than legos! Everything is very well organized in there. I even have a place to put a ham sandwich.

This is what I love about my pc: I can get to the problems quickly and damn near effortlessly. Oh, and it takes less than thirty seconds to completely bootup. Turn it on, go take a pee, and it's ready for business ;)

At some point, I realized there wan't anything I really liked about my computer. After all of the tweaking, upgrading, modding, tweaking, upgrading, and more tweaking, it was still missing something.

While at the local autoparts store I stumpled upon my now most prized computer item....

Gently protruding from an unused drive bay, is my coveted 12 volt cigarette lighter. Never again will I have to search for matches. Never again will I have to spill zippo fluid on the keyboard. Never will I forget the looks on peoples faces when they ask me for a light.

And yes, it works.

And no, it doesn't crash the computer.

Makes a very satisfying 'Clunk' when it pops out too.

I love the fact that it hasn't crashed ONCE since I built it four months ago. If I should pick a single compontent, It'd either be the Abit BE7 mobo or the no-name/no-bells/no-whistles keyboard.

I love my 800 MHz front side bus...It's so fast it won't stop at my stop in my neighborhood any more.

Probably my AMD Athlon XP 2100+... just cuz she's such a trooper. Rated at 1.73ghz, but will go easily up to 2.3 without any kind of fuss. Put 'er in my first PC build and i'm a new AMD devotee...

YEAH BABY!! I leave my PII on all the time just to keep that LED active!

But I love the rack-mount case on my serious PC.

It looks like a suitcase nuke! Love the door on the front.

Well- that and it ROCKS!

I love my big computer case, easy to take out the cover without any hassle. I upgrade my computer atleast once a week, :) so this case is been the best I've ever had to make that possible.

Once in a week

Gees... you can't get no satisfaction, do you :D
