Purchased a new keyboard controller a couple of days ago. Finally replacing my PC-100 that is over 35 years old. I was sure it would make a difference, but I am glad to say it was worth price.

61 weighted keys (I am not a true player, so 88 is really a waste. Touch sensitive and aftertouch. Integrates into the DAW so you get some interaction over the major controls (9 channels and master and then you scroll). Couple of nice features I probably won't use, arpeggiator, chord mapping, Has a USB C power/connection and DIN out so you can connect it (and pass through MIDI) to legacy synth modules. But what was the real plus is the touch pads. Velocity sensitive and really helps sequence unique drum beats/patterns for non-drummers (which I have to confess I am not a drummer). I used it with SD 2 and works well.

If you are an old timer and you haven't upgraded your controller in awhile, something you may want to consider. I know there are a lot of good ones out there, but I can report the Launchkey is not a bad choice.

Price was around $300, but I think the build grade is good, has some weight to it and feels real solid. I think this would serve most well and possibly improve their MIDI experience with better velocity control, aftertouch and the velocity sensitive pads. Nice controller.
