What do i need to sync a TSR-8 so computer is chasing?

When I first looked at your thread title, I thought I saw "TRS-80."

Scared the shit out of me, I'll tell ya! :D
 
The most painless way to do it is to use software that reads and writes binary smpte time code. But that software is becoming very rare now days, everything wants to have MTC. But for ease of use and minimal gear nothing beats bit accurate true binary smpte.

Other wise you are looking at some kind of converter that can take time code in and spit out MTC or midi clock or something like that.
