I don't dislike the Pumpkins, but I think Billy Corgans... well anyway lets not get into an argument
I'm more Nirvana, Radiohead, Ben Folds Five, Coldplay, Aqualung generally depressing stuff

I think in terms of priorities, a decent soundcard will make the biggest difference in your overall sound. It doesn't matter if you're singing through a Neumann U87 microphone if the soundcard can't capture it. You have to spend a few hundred (in my amateur opinion), but it's the only way to start telling if you're recording correctly in the first place. I banged my head up against the wall a lot before I found this out.CanopuS said:Basically, for the guitar, straight through into the computer Line-In and recorded straight into cakewalk. For the mic, pretty much the same, straight in the Line-in and into cakewalk. For the MIDI I use a keyboard. Sorted![]()
Huge. I wouldn't have listed it first otherwise.CanopuS said:Does it really make that much difference what card you have?

Generally the music was ok I thought. I liked the strings, and the guitar parts. The melody was ok. The vocals were a little muffled and low so I couldn't hear enough of the words to comment on the lyrics.
Okay, then I wanna' change my answer to "Get Better Monitors," heheheheee...CanopuS said:Errr yeah I can't tell THAT much difference but it is better.
