I'm working on a new project now and I'm going to be the singer in the live band. I'm writing some tunes for it and recording. I brought out my old guitar that is tuned to D and moved away from the heavy metal stuff... Anyway, the sound on this is much different than the stuff I've done before, music wise and mix wise. Any feedback is appreciated.

The flange/chorus on the guitar is a little too much at the beginning, maybe back the effect off a bit when it's playing by itself.....
The tune itself is catchy and well performed. Cool vocal changes going on from mellow to medium to growl.
Good growl on the guitars. Nicely doubled vocals throughout. The new band should enjoy playing this tune...

Thanx for the feedback. Yea, the flange is almost drunk sounding lol... I'm going to re record the guitars tonight so I'll take a see about what I can do to make it less flangy...

Yeah the flange is almost a shelf.
The growl is good but even better due to the contrast with the verse - mind you the change of growl in the 2nd half of the chorus - like after 2.19 doesn't quite cut it too Nickleback I think. The rest of the singing sounds good mind.
I reckon, & I almost always say this, you ought to have a guitar that sounds like itself in there with the shred/dead/digital distortion sound.
Nice work.

Whats that about Nickleback? I'm not sure what you mean.

"Stretched beyond comfortable range angst vocal disguised by faux aggression couched as intense but really not very" is how I'd decribe the sound of that band.
