It's definitely a little light in the bottom end for this kind of music. The kick has no thump. I can hear it, but it's not pounding me in the chest like it should.

The rest sounds pretty good. Lots of gay fake stuff going on, but it all sits together nicely. This is probably the best song I've heard from you yet. Love the slow down ending. Good job overall. Just give it more power.

OK Ill go back to it...the kicks and bass lines were a bit of a headache to fit in with each other so ive probably shat out of having them too loud...Ill give it another listen to and see where i can push it more

cheers Greg :)

btw what is fake gay stuff as opposed to real gay stuff?

you dick :D

fake gay stuff = synths
real gay stuff = my music

This is great. I shut my eyes for a second and it took me back to all those years ago at various raves.

The first thing I noticed was that you have a real good stereo image going on there. From the beginning it seems to flow around the soundstage perfectly.

At first I would be inclined to agree about the bottom end being ever, ever, so slightly light. However, I cranked up my sub....and that's actually a real smooth sounding bottom end you've got there from my perspective. Some D&B can get real ear fatiguey with a cranked sub, but this just sounds and feels spot on in that respect.

Good job on mixing all those kicks and basslines together. I got a real kick out of this. I have some friends that are massively into their D&B that would totally shake themselves stupid to it. Nice work. :D

thats brilliant Legion...I know you know where this was coming from so I really wanted your take on it

Ive unfortunately messed about with the mix again bring up the kicks after fiddling with the compression...Im afraid I might ruin it if I keep on so Ill maybe approach it with fresh ears later..

Nice to see you in the clinic and thanks for the response...and Im just glad it was positive :)

Not bad dude. This sounds like the stuff that should be playing in the clubs all around these parts. Has the vibe to get people dancing and drinking. Like I said before I think people around here would rather hear this stuff than anyones cool rock and roll. Those bastards. LOL.

It's really cool though KC.

Rock on dude.

thanks Trump...not sure if its meant to invoke drinking though ;)

Yeah I guess it would be kind of hard to drink if you're dancing.

And yeah I guess I could have left out the "cool" part. I'm not trying to say that rock is cool and this is not. Sorry if it was taken that way.

only teasing dude ;)

Cool, after I reread my post I thought it sounded a little harsh. Glad that went over well.

Keep on jamming. You got a great sound.

it didnt sound harsh trump...and thanks for listening again :)

This kind of takes me back to my days of listening to Fat of the Land or maybe even earlier Prodigy stuff. Cool track I like it

As others have mentiioned low end is a little light if listening without a sub. If your target audience all have sub woofers mayb its not such an issue. Also the high end on the synths ping pong left to right was a little grating when listening on smaller speakers

Listening to this kind of stuff reminds of how much I used to be into electronica back in the day and how I should listen to it more now, even though I picked up guitars

Nice Job

Thanks Bristol.....I think i know what you mean about the ping pong...kinda a trade off, I like it a little harsh but it sounds like you described on my small speakers as well...damn those small speakers!! :)

maybe Ill do something with the sub...Im loathed to fuck it up...but this weekends no DAW, Ive got to give it a rest for a few days, I tried to snog my PCR last night thinking it was the wife! :D

and listen to some more electronica again..I heartily advise it...I play guitars at home all the time, and record them for fun...no need to be stuck on one side of the fence brother! :drunk:

@ kcearl

Love the Track Brother!

I do similar stuff but with really heavy crunchy guitar samples

I mix to tape 100% of the time, and almost never tranfer to digital (just cuz I'm lazy when it comes to that)...but, I'll have to have you check it out sometime.

Big fan of DownLoad, Plateau, Doubting Thomas, Godflesh, Pigface, F.L.A., S.P., Throbbing Gristle.

Keep it comin'...definitely diggin' it!!!:D

Very cool track, kcearl! Reminds me of glow sticks, strobes and colorful lights or maybe that was during an acid trip....anyway.....cool track man.

yeah definitely convert some of you stuff so we can hear it...youve got a nice list of gear Id like to hear it in action...nice set of influences...well when I say nice you know :D

I wonder if anyone here would appreciate 1000 homo DJs version of supernaught? ya reckon?

Im trying to record darker stuff but I enjoy the lighter side of things too....keeps it interesting to record

I fucked around with the bottom end of this well so glad theres no comments on it

cheers for listening bro! :)

Thank you too.....the second half definitely turned out cooler than the first half...keeps it interesting i suppose..

and watch for flashbacks, I have two a week..generally when im driving or handling a firearm!! :D

This is definately not my favorite style of music so the only comment I can make is....I think it sounds good...mixed good...(I think) I mean if I heard it along side something else in this genre I wouldnt expect to hear a major difference in quality....where's the guitars??? LOL

guitars are but a personal pleasure..I sometimes play bass in a tune and my last one had three guitar chords lol

Id like to introduce more guitar in I just dont here where it fits sometimes :o

Id also imagine if you heard this up to a released version in the same genre you'd think the bottom end was all over the place...Im going to upgrade some of my monitoring chain this week to help improve that :)

thanks for listening mate

Yeah,
I like it with the aggressive edge you've laid in on this.
Good again. You'd better take care of yourself & rehydrate.
Any chance of a dub mix? I used to love dub in the late 70's.
Oh, I don't dance to dance music or trance to trance music but I enjoyed the listen!
