Wanted Dead or Not Alive....

OK, I know this is probably a waste of time, since I'm the one saying it, it will probably be disregarded.

But one guy now has 7....count them....SEVEN.....songs that he has bumped back up onto page 1. If that's acceptable, then I have about 8 songs that I haven't posted and I have no problem posting them all at the same time. But if we all did that, then there would only be room for about 2 people to have their songs on page one of the Clinic.

I always say that I'm not comfortable having more than 1 or 2 songs on page one. This guy has SEVEN right now. If that's cool, good. I guess as long as the site "numbers" are good, then nothing else matters.

So much for trying not to hog the forum out of courtesy for others. I'll be posting as many songs as possible in the near future. Actually, I won't because I can't even fathom someone doing that. But sure enough, someone has. Forget the fact that it's me saying it and try to be objective. Do you all really think that's cool?
 
Great tracking of instruments (especially drums) and a good mix here. IMO, could use a couple more harmonies sprinkled ln - at the verses or pre-chorus.

HA! I saw your whole un-edited message in my e-mail notification. :D

Kind of a co-incidence that he commented on my song right after my post about his SEVEN threads on page one. Maybe it is co-incidence. He might have been typing at the same time, which has happened to all of us. He also might be commenting on other people's tunes, I didn't go looking so I'm not going to accuse him of not doing that. It's not as if I comment on many people's tunes. But then again, I also don't have SEVEN threads on page one.

So, my point is simply this: Not knowing how much he participates in threads other than his, I'll assume that he IS commenting on people's tunes and being helpful. But, even IF that's the case, having SEVEN of your tunes up and on page one is ridiculous no matter what. (He also happens to be the last one to have posted in every one of his threads when I looked. So, he bumped 7 of his own threads).

Anyway, whatever. If the administration has no problem with it, that's cool. But I think it warranted a comment at the very least.

Yeah after I wrote a response, I saw he threw out a couple of "atta boy" comments. So I edited.

No guys.....SEVEN posts is good as far as the powers that be are concerned. I'm not going to go into detail because....well, you know.....But I just heard from someone in charge who says they have no problem with it. I'm not joking. It was something along the lines of "It's great to post as much of your music as possible. It's only too much when people stop responding". I'm paraphrasing, but I'm not exaggerating or mis-representing what was said. I'm not going to direct quote, because who knows what that would get me.

So, it's all good, guys. Post away. Post all your tunes. Let's all post SEVEN songs each. The admin don't mind.

Quantity. Quantity. Quantity.

EDIT: Now, in the name of fairness, I was since told that I mis-understood what I was told about having SEVEN threads on page one. :rolleyes: I'd love to directly quote exactly what was said, but I know that's frowned upon here since private messages are supposed to be private. But I know I didn't mis-understand anything, but I was told I did, so I guess I must have.

Ok, had some time. Ran both versions through my studio. Version 2 is much better! :thumbs up:
Retracking made a difference, while still keeping the energy of the first takes. Actually V2 has more life and energy in it.

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Awesome, thanx!

I re-did the drum track and re-sang I think 2 lines. But I guess a better drum take and a couple of vocal lines can make all the difference sometimes. Thanx buddy.

Working on the next SIX songs I want to post. :D (not)

That's true, eh? One thing about this home recording thing is that everyone has hours of potential boot legs out there. You can sell my boot legs, but don't quit your day job. :)
 
I have no day job, I make my living selling HR bootleg records. So far I've made........uh, nothing! Damn! Business is BAD!
Hmmmm, I may need to go back to washing dishes. :D
 
Pay my airfare, feed me, have on hand plenty of beer, have a good amp available (I'll bring my own guitar) and I'll come wash yo dishes. But just one sinkful, one time. :D
