Forgive me, but the idea is to do it every day, no matter if you have a cold, runny nose or are away. If you stop, you start again!
I see what you mean about potentially reinforcing bad habits. I have a vocal teacher who I take lessons from whenever I get the chance, so she is my reference for areas to work on and how to practice. But that being said her advice was essentially that any practice is better than no practice, and no practice was my baseline before. So she encouraged me to get into the routine of singing along with a piano with basic scales and chords.Do you have anybody who also does this kind of practice routine? I'm thinking you should share it so any bad habits you might be falling into could be caught? I have a friend who sings very weirdly because she sort of got so used to really exaggerated mouth movements, she now cannot sing straight? Nobody ever mentioned it to her, yet it was common knowledge amongst everyone who knew her - she could mangle som songs, yet now, it's too late.
I look forward to your reports, but I must admit that some of what you are doing could be mangled, like my friend. Bad habits are so easy to form, and hard to break as you don't know you do them?
