Fancy Rock N' Roll
Holly mother, I's about to post this in newbies forum, but I think here's I might get better chances... It's about my Violin's pick up. Okay, it's called Fishman SV-100, and I put it very gentle there. Right on the bridge, slip the transducer in the top bridge hole, bellow the G string. Just good, I love the sound I get. Fat and bright. But... I didn't know, somehow everytime I hook it to any amps (DI, through to mixers), it has an anoying noises. Kinda like ground noise (hum). I then wire some small cable from output female jack to reach "chin rest" of the Violin, so the ground (-) contact my neck. The noises are reducted very much. But I think it's not a good idea to remove noises this way, which I HAVE TO always touch the chin rest even if I don't play it. Is there any other way to solve this problem ? since it's a bit smaller, thiner, and fragile than guitar, violin needs better approach.
DavidK ? anybody ? Thank's...
Anyway, I use very good cable I can trust.
