Hmmmmmmm VERRRRY INTERESTING!!!!!!! A GHOST 32/8 last BID @$895! I can deal with the cosmetic imperfections and missing knobs & such but I see 3,dangerous RED FLAGS being raised on this item: 1- No power supply; 2-Unit has not been used or tested in a few years and 3-
If board, as stated in the "detail description" as being a store demo only, then why does the board have quite a few bumps, bruises and missing teeth? Was board prev'ly used in FOH,project studio or road work perfs prior to store rec'ing unit?
Why hasn't the board been tested RECENTLY? Is the power supply hard to obtain?
Just makes you think a lil longer on item!

But d@ngggg, I'm TEMPTED!!!!

Is it hard to obtain a Pwr S'ply?
What are the ramifications of a unit such as this not being used for a few years???

I AM THINKING ABOUT THIS REAL HARDDDD!!!

OPINIONS N-E 1 ??

Thx!!!

That it can't be shipped and must be picked up in CT is a serious drag... the PSU and cable are still available from Soundcraft [though they'll probably cost about as much as the desk]... the other thing I've been seeing recently with Ghosts in general is that the connectors for things like 'inserts' have been failing in the field... which could render the thing useless in too short a period of time.

Just a couple of thoughs... carry on.

Why would you sell an "untested" piece of $1000 equipment? The guy could probably get substantially more money if he bought the power supply himself and tested it out.

That board in good condition with PSU is worth around $2500. It does seem weird that they don't have the PSU. It's not like a walwart that you lose or use on something else. It doesn't have the meter bridge or Midi Machine Control and those are what make the used Ghosts such great values, IMO. The MMC and meters are about $1k each as upgrades.

You can get a nice 32/8 full equipped for around $3k. I payed about $2500 for my 24/8 MMC with meters.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a baseball bat repo from some bankrupt club or sound company.
