I have been using Vegas for a while now, but have never attempted to use, or even know if I could run DX(i) or VST(i) with it. And now a rapper wants me to produce some stuff using Fruity Loops, and I was wondering if I could run Fruity Loops in conjuction with Vegas or any other way for them to be synced, so I could easily adjust things within FL if need be. Sorry if this is a stupid question. BTW, if Vegas can't do this, are there any older, or outdated programs (for price-wise) I can do this with? Because I have no idea how I will do this project, with the possibilty of syncing FL with my recording program..

Vegas can't host VSTi or DXi - Acid can, so you may want to check into using it. Regardless, I use Vegas and Fruity Loops extensively, and I just get my shit right in Fruity Loops and export it to wave files that I just drop into Vegas. As to whether or not you can sync Vegas and FL, I have no idea.

oh and burn, i'll add:

if you mixdown your wav in FL as an "ACID" file, I find that it takes like 30-60 seconds for vegas to read the file and make a waveform for it, as apposed to if it's just like any regular wav, it will be basically instant.
