Used my AEA TRP last night, with a SM57, on female vocals, compared to different female that used a SM58 with one of my VTB-1s, the TRP easily won that race. Nice, clean, full sound. Can't wait to give it a whirl on my shinybox, but that will have to wait week or so.

Cool!! Gotta register mine. Fantastic on my ribbons (AEA R92, and AEA R84).

I would hope so, as it was designed for ribbons! :D

My fear with it is that it will be "too" clean in the vein of the millennia or grace(both of which I hate)..I like a little mojo on it..

Convinced the wife to sing a song she has never sung before, and only had the CD backing track for about two weeks which she listened to maybe twice. So she had a problem getting the lyrics right much less putting a little emotion into the song, but I will say the recording chain of my tracking room---->with her---->studio projects metal pop filter------>shiny box 23 (stock)----->AEA TRP----->ART PRO VLA with 3-4dB max reduction----->M-Audio 1010LT; is a winner in my book. I'll hopefully have something to post later this week. But I will say smooth is the first adjective that I would say about that signal chain for her.

Here she is, my wife commented on how tiny it is, I told her size does not matter, atleast when it comes to audio products.
