URGENT cool edit/adobe help!!

In your first post it looks like you are in "Frequency" view instead of the default "Amplitude" view. Look at the (vertical) labels along the right hand side. Your mic probably rolls off at around 17,000 or 18,000 Hz. which would explain why the waveform only reaches half way up the chart.
 
Thanks for the reply, Yes I just checked, it rolls off about 17,000Hz ,

I found an old raw recording I did, before this problem, and it rolls off/clips at 33,000 Hz

is there a way to achieve this again? Is it an issue with the program or my interface?

Was anyone else puzzled by the OP's quick exit, or was it just me?

Reinstalled driver increased frequency range? Huh? Oh well. As long as he left happy. Problem solved.
