R Richard Monroe Well-known member Apr 12, 2006 #3 AKG D112. Treat the bell as if it were a bass cab speaker, but back the mic off 1-2 feet. Closer to the center=darker. Closer to the edge=brighter. It's just a big, brass bass cab.-Richie
