That is the dumbest thing I have ever read here. and ive read some dumb things.
 
I tried a couple of different 12ax7s in my tube MP and I thought I'd broken the thing. It sounded awful! Wound up putting the original chinese tube back in and keeping it that way.

Had to find out for myself, I spose...

Hey The Flame... Any idea what microphone your friend used with the MP to get the great vocals??
