Hi guys. I just recorded this crazy thing last night. I wonder if you could give it a listen?

You will probably feel like you have just been molested after it. The levels ofcourse are all screwed up, hence the attack feel.

Any suggestions for a new song style to try?

Erland

molested? i've been molested before and this doesn't come close to that...er....um....i don't think it does.

So you got some samples? That drum thing and the static? I was waiting for the drum track to come it and then it never came. Maybe you could break out that caja (jazzbox?) again? That would sound cool on this tune.

Vocals were a bit low in the mix.

I like the rythm guitar thing you're doing in the bass line. You've done something like that before and it sounds very cool.

Cheers. Thanks for posting.

Hi!

lol

Eric. Cheers man, samples, nope! I slammed into the door by accident and decided to make a piece out of it.

The static is on the four track, its a great wee thing. I plugged the guitar in direct. Man I wish I still had the Caja, next party I will steel it!

Awsome mate, thanks for listening Erland

LOL! That's really funny. I've been fooled by a real door! God damn you are the original 'home recorder'. You're actually using your home as an instrument.

I swear to god you could make listenable music with a couple of sticks and a rock!

I did think the vocals were a bit low right at the first, but then they leveled out and were fine. I liked the level ups and downs, and thought it was cool at aprox. 1:20 where you pulled out that "attack feel"! Your voice and guitar are as usual awesome. And the door trick worked great too. :) I did notice the static, but who cares when it is a Erland song! I also liked the style; it was a bit different from what you usually do.

Langley

p.s. I thougt this tune was the best of the last three, but they are all great!

I don't pop in much, but I have to tell you Erland that this is a great song. Your vocals reminds me of an artist, but I just can't pull up the name. The effect with the 6/8 time guitar melody over the 4/4 backbeat is outstanding.

A general thanks to all who post. I'm learning a lot from every piece of music I listen to.

He runs into a freaking door, and makes it sound good.

:p

Whatever is it you got... you need to find a way to bottle it up and sell it... :p You'd be set for life. :D

nice

erichenryus. Now thats a challenge, Iºm on it.

Smokepole. donde?

Hi Terriel. You thought this was the best. Man I should let rip more often. A little low on the vocals for sure. The static was an effet though man, for giggles thats all. But thanks so much for checking them out. I have another for you.

Hey digitcallous, this site is the best. Awsome people, awsome experience. thanks for having a wee listen.

WATYF, you always crackme up. Its great to know your always having a little listen. So thanks again.

Cheers

Electric Erland! Now that was really cool! This song should be about twice as long though. I was just getting intrigued when it ended. That's a great story about the door!

Twist

As long as you keep getting that great guitar and vocal sound, you can make as many of these as you want.:D Neat headphone stereo jones.Recommended listening prefrence.Record sounds are always cool...The rythm lick during the verse sounds EQed kinda weird.(The guitar playing the lower notes)...only complaint.Great builds and falls.

yep, it's the same. I thought you might put one up that sucks. But nooooooooooooooooooo, this one's killer as usual.

Haha, did someone say Pierre Henry? (french composer who actually wrote a piece for door!!! It's about 40 minutes and mighty intriguing, I can tell ya!) :D

This is Erland going Sluice without the impressive guitar parts (not trying to offend you here, Erland :) )....

Hey, there's that guitar acting like a bass guitar again.

I like. But it's too short.

No, I take that back. It's just right. Just right.... :)

*Ped starts to hate Erland as much as he hates Crawdad* :D

Hey Coop: I truly enjoy listening to you. There are some pretty good musicians/writers here, but VERY few fall as easy on my ears.

I have 14 of your songs on my computer, and 6 of them are in my "commercial" rotation.

Anyhoo...enough of my lips polishing your asscheeks. I listened to:

1. Introduce - FUCKING RULED
2. One More Day - was that a solo, or are you just glad to see me? It FUCKING RULED.
3. Waltzing With You - Wasn't crazy about the guitar sound, but the song pretty much FUCKING RULED!
4. Feeling Under Weather - In the States, we'd put a "the" in there somewhere, lmao, BUT IT FUCKING RULED.

I love what you do man. Something good should happen with you and your music, but you HAVE to come to the U.S. to make it happen. End of Story. Good luck, friend.

I FUCKING agree with Chris whole-FUCKING-heartedly!

Fuck yeah! :D

Thanks for checking it out chaps. I am shocked it sits well with you though.

Hi twist, nice, cheers. It is supposed to be a real short crazy introduction to a nicey accoustic song which I am going to post in a second.

Hey W.I.S.C. cheers for listening and commenting. This was little crazy on the panning and stuff. I tried to get a bass sound by messing with the guitar. later

well dtb, now I am nervous. Cheers

Hi Ped. Well cheers for checking it out man, I was just listening to Slucie and wow, amazing. I need a bass guitar! Its supposed to be short cos I dont think its a song really.

chrisharris, you so nice. Well cheers for the encouragment, I will come to the states. Glad to know your listening. I cant believe your rotating me. mm Bye mate.

Hey, I was wondering....since Erland is always recording far from home, I'm not sure whether can we call him a 'homerecorder'?

In other words:

Go find yourself a 'far-from-homerecording board' man!

(just looking for ways to ban him from this board of course, cuz I envy his talent)

:D
