They could also belong in "The Rack" Forum because many are rack-mount devices. As well: My pre also serves as a booster for the line-level signals that are produced by my synth, and includes an A/D converter for both channels.

Do you still think discussions of this pre should be posted exclusively in the Mic Forum?

me?????

i was just responding to whoever said it didnt belong here. it can go over there too and i wont complain... i might not see it over there... but thats... ok!

i would like to try the bellari for myself but since i dont have experience with other real tube mic preamps i dont know if i would be able to tell if its as good or whatever.

i have tube guitar amps but i think this is different...

:)

You would think then that thier price and looks would make them themost popular equipment arround, the general consenses on the matter is that they dont sound that good.

I did read your thread about doing a mod on the thing and I hope It turns out ok.

Funny thing, I was poking arround the swap meet saturday and I happened across an old SUNN amp. all tube, Mullard tubes, And I picked it up for 10.00. I swaped out the 12ax7's with some I have laying arround. I cant wait to try them in my pre.

The problem with doing a mod on the BLUETUBE is the fact that the electronics are surface mount and would require a wave solder machine. which is a cool 100,000 bucks. But the tube is replaced easy enough.

Time to step up to a tube soldering machine.

Why hasn't anyone thought of his yet? :)

the tubes dont get that hot. and the tips keep shattering. not efficiant enough

i have heard talk of "having your tubes tied". does anyone know anything about this? can you hear the difference? does it cost more than 100$?

In your case, wascal, I know at least a couple of people around here who would volunteer to tie your tubes for free! (Anesthesia would be extra, however!) :p

no, i dont...but i dont think a veteran BBS member should post basically the same post across mulitple forums....i for one appreciate the info that was given, as i am curiously waiting for this thing myself....cheap is my middle name.....

from the terms of registration:
"Posting the same thing in multiple forums is also considered a no-no...please figure out where it belongs first. "
