Sorry I dont have any inside info on the RNMP but I have it in good confidence from my soarse that Studio Projects have set a release date for the week of the 21st. and a retail price of $199.00 with an estimated street value of $170.00 on thier VTB1.

I was told that they were taking orders now. so if you want to get in on this early Email Alan.

What's up with all these "Self-Appointed" spam police officers?

Ssh. Quiet Gigde. He's got secret info. from his inside soarces. Let em' share.

If you want spam check the cave.

Look at the posts from Reformed Comic...aka. FT.

This is just inside info a friend gave me, and If I knew anything secret about anything else I would tell you also.

Thats all I know for now.

Wayne.

P.S. By the way answering an update question in the Mic forum that was asked, Isnt spam at all, its appropriate. But thanks Gidge for trying to protect other board members from learning the information they are curious about.

Good to see Gidge and Chess doing their self-appointed duty again...

If Marshall was coming out with a pre, it would be OK, though....

Only if I'm getting a cut of the action. I've been thoroughly bred to be a world-champion plant. I don't do pro-bono like our buddy Darrin, here.

H2o,

get your head out of your ass long enough to know that i favor Studio Projects mics and Joe Meek preamps as much as Marshall.....

i just asked a simple question...im just as anxious and curious about this preamp as the next guy....one forum would have sufficed in my opinion.....and just as someone is free to post the same message in multiple forums(which is against the rules of registration), i am free to ask whats up with it (which isnt against the rules of registration).......

peace

There will be no preamp next week or the one after. Maybe 6 months but not next week>

So why didn't you call out the contributors to the last 4 or 5 posts that involved mic pre's on the mic board? At least tell them to take it to The Rack...I mean, it's probably against the rules of registration to post inappropriate topics in the forum...

In looking at the post Darrin put up in The Rack, the only responses were you and Chessrock. Boy, there's a big freakin' surprise. And guess what-you were calling him out over there, too.

Maybe I'm a little confused, but a post about mic preamps could very easily fit in either (or both) forums. If the subject matter was a rack mounted guitar efx that SP was developing, I'd probably agree with you. But a mic pre? Gimme a break...

Your agenda is showing-and I can see it even WITH my head up my ass.

when i came here i thought gidge was a lady.

seems like more of a lady type of name doesnt it?

now i think maybe gidge is a dude!

how confusing!

posts about mic preamps belong in the mic forum cause they are not effects they are an accessory for the mic.

HA!!! So did I!! (Gidge, read Gidgette!) Right?
Nope, gidge is a dude. Go figure.

Aw... Dont worry about me, I dont care what I get accused of arround here. Heck Ive been here long enough to not be considered a plant.

Hey, I appreciated the response Darrin made to my inquiry about the SP pre. It was posted in the mic forum, so maybe I should have posted it elsewhere, but I have lost track of how many things were going to get reported on that never materialized. Maybe they will, but I'm just curious about new gear and whats going on. The buzz seems to start around here.

I thought this spam police issue was dead. Spare me from any more issues with this, PLEASE!

I suppose when Chessrock and I release our plans for the triple tube exciter, preamp, enhancer, compressor with 36 12ax7's, we'll be accused of spamming even before you hear the thing. Sure, it might hiss like a snake, but in a musical way! :D

Thanks for the support here, I fully expected to get flamed for posting about this Mic pre. but most of the stuff is just tounge and cheek from these guys.

I for one cannot wait to hear this as soon as the local rep contacts me, Then Ill post some reviews and maybe some samples (I dont normally post MP3s because of a low speed connection on my home computer). I know you all would like to hear a voice that won Karaoke Championships in both Branson and KC Missouri.

I am anticipating the pre to go extreemely well with my C1.

I like Alan Hyatt and appreciate his insight on things.

But, I am curious about the need for another low voltage tube colorization mic pre. From Studio Projects:

Tube Stage:
12AX7 vacuum tube with DC filament supply for minimum hum and
noise. 1st half of tube is operated as a hi-gain amplifier stage, 2nd half
operates as a cathode follower to minimize loading of the first stage. A
low-voltage plate supply is used to create a "starved-tube" condition for
enhanced sound.

Of course, it might be something that actually works. It'd be a first in my experience. I guess you could always just keep the tube gain off.
