HA! Yeah, like I'm going to build a guitar.

I took a fucking week off for exhaustion after I put a nail in the wall beside my door to hang my keys. it's the biggest thing I've ever built in my life! :D
 
That's the one thing I feel like I'm gonna have to do one day - build a guitar from scratch. I've built cars, several thousand horsepower racing engines, huge skateboard ramps, all sorts of shit. A guitar is one thing that feels like it's out of reach.
 
Trying to catch up on the thread, felt like shit the past couple days & just didn't feel like doing much at all...Listening to Bill's clips while I'm typing this...

Bill: Post some clips using the attenuator if you can dude, I'm gonna try to get one before too much longer...

I think I'm gonna paint my new SG, I'm thinking a metallic purple or blue....
 
Bill I liked all of the tones, but to me the Epi Dot sounded better than any of 'em...Cool tunes man, sounds like you guys were having fun, which is what it's all about...
 
Hahaha, I thought the same thing: nooooooo! That classic cherry finish is to die for, it's just THE classic SG finish.

I'll still be your friend though :D

My good buddy Shawn, the singer/guitarist in my band Crank Case, just got a hold of this rare classic.

It's a 1977 Silver Anniversary Les Paul Custom. I need to see a doctor because I've maintained an erection for over 4 hours.



 
Right? Is that not amazing? Not only that, it's rare and historical. I can't wait to play that thing.
 
Hey guys, I'm sure you all know I was only kidding about painting my SG....:DBut I have been feeling like shit for a couple days now. Seems like that comes/goes at times, dunno...

Super nice Lester Shawn's got there Greg....be sure to tell him (again...lol) I want that Chupa back...12 days dude, 12 more days...

Dude, I felt like shit on and off for over a year. Every time I had so much as an itch anywhere near my chest, I thought I was dying. I finally got sick of thinking I was dying and said fuck it. But you got to stay active. Can't spend too much time on your ass. Hang in there, sister. :)

Yeah I know it's gonna be a long road, but I'm sick of feeling like shit...The weather here has been pretty nice lately, & I have gotten out/about doing things, but I just can't shake feeling like shit at times....Guess it's gonna take a while to get over all this....

Not at all worried about dying dude, if it happens, it happens. I'm not gonna live in fear of that....:)

I know! When he first asked me if I knew anything about them, I said no. I'm not a historian. I just know basic stuff. Then he showed me the listing...and I nearly fell over. It's gorgeous. A fucking Silvertop Custom. So awesome.

Cool man, seems like time is just fuckin' dragging on for me lately, but just let him know as soon as I get paid, I'll buy that amp back...

Just curious, how much did he drop on that guitar????
 
Avid followers of this thread might remember my tale of Marshall-based woe caused by eejit bassplayers plugging their 4 Ohm cab into my TSL's 16 Ohm output then playing for an hour?

Well the repair diagnosis is in and it's the mains transformer - £160 ($230) all in.

Feckin' eejit.
