Well, it's not that I want to spend $1200 but I would be willing to spend it if the guitar is worth it. Now, what I like about the Nashville is that it seems to be very flexible. And I'd rather buy a very good Nashville Tele than a standard Tele and something else.

whatever works for you

Hey, I just checked out your site. What studio was that? I'm sure it's just my imagination, but the guy at the board looks familiar. Also, who/what is Universal Music Group?

And yes, there's more than corn in Indiana. We've got hogs and soybeans, too!

non-sequitor?

They're prominently played and displayed in several TV commercials(although the commercials aren't for the guitars themselves). Their tie in with Universal Studios and House of Blues. Flooding Wal-Mart and Best Buy with the crap SG "Signature" series. Higher end Gibsons offered at CostCo. Are they trying to become the McDonald's/Coca Cola of guitars? What's up?

Am I missing something, or did you just accidentally post this in the wrong place?

Ey, thanks for checking out my site! The studio on that picture is Bayou Recording down in Nashville and the guy at the boards is George McClinton, very nice guy and great engineer from what I could see.

Now Universal Music Group is (not that I'm trying to brag or something ;) ) the world's biggest music company. It owns labels like Interscope, DefJam, Motown, Hollywood, Dreamworks (well, that just closed down), MCA, Mercury, etc... and some of our artists are Eminem, 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas, Mariah, Mary J. Blige, Nickelback, Toby Keith, Shania Twain, Geroge Strait, etc... Does that answer your question?

Sorry. When I think of music & Indy, I think BMG. I forgot that Polygram used to have a presence here. I guess I haven't kept up with the world of entertainment corporate mergers. Seems like there's a new one every week.

No offence about the country thing, just not my cup of java.

It's funny. The guy who grows up in Spain wants to play country. The guy who grows up in Indiana wishes he could play Spanish classical. Go figure.

Either way, good luck to you!

Funny! I guess we both got switched up and were born in the wrong country lol!

I listened, I liked

I listened to some of the music...good stuff. The Duct Tape Song...& Yes Dear...funny stuff! Tell It Like It Is...good tune. Nice work.

Thanks man! You mentioned my two favourites: The Duct Tape Song and Yes Dear... :D

about the tele...

Play a bunch and get the one you love. Forget about American, Korean, Mexican, Albanian, Martian etc. If it suits your needs and feels great, get it.

Same for tele pickups..

Im new to list and was wondering what input you people have on humbucker pickups in the single coil size for a telecaster? I'd like one with more of a brighter firebird type sound than theSG/Les Paul sound, also with coil split too. Any tips would be appreciated~Tony

Quick update: I got me the Nashville Tele and I love it! It almost plays itself! The feel is great, setup was flawless and those texmex and strat pickups are sweeeeeeeeeeeet! Thanks all for your suggestions! you pointed me in the right direction :)

awesome! welcome to the club! :)

Congrats!

Just out of curiousity, where did you end up getting it from?

I got it at Musiciansfriend.com. I got their credit card, which gives a whole year same as cash with a very low minimum monthly payment... I'll be paying it for a while but I couldn't afford it otherwise

cool

Awww man...that's awesome! Congrats ! Do some "chickin' pickin" for me. Now I'm jonesin' for the Nashville Tele !

Did you get the Power Tele with the piezo bridge pick up?

I work at guitar cente rand I could probably get you any guitar that is on musicians friend, at cost. I heard someone talking about a regular american tele for around 5 or 6 hundred, cost.

Wish a worked at guitar center then! :D Sadly I don't.....
And no, I didn't get me the Power Tele, it sounds like a nice extra feature but I didn't really needed it...

that's right

I don't know if I'd go with the power tele or not either but I'll be lookin forward to hearin' some pickin posted on your website!

oh, it's gonna be a while I think, since I'm now starting to seriously practicing on a daily basis. Until now, I just knew rhythm well enough to write but never intended to record or perform... but keep checking my site, sooner or later I'll post something! :)
