Hey everybody. I was wondering if you guys could help me out.
I'm currently using a POD XT (not pro) to record my guitars.
Borrowed it from a friend, and it sounds pretty good. Now I decided
it's time to invest in a one-stop guitar proccesing appliance and get all guitar
troubles out of the way for good. To me what's important is good metal distortion and beautiful clean tones. What I tried and don't like: distortions on BOSS GT-6. Since I got the POD XT I just put the GT-6 aside and only use it live. But for recording I hated it. BOSS always has this fuzz in their distortions. These annoying high fequency noises that don't go away with eq-ing.
Anybody out there have any experience with the TC Electronic and the POD XT PRO? Which one is better???
Or is there another option? I live in a dorm/flat and can't buy an amp for loud recording for fear of getting into trouble with neighbours. I want digital recording without digital noise. But maybe it's the price to pay for getting good clean tone.
Current setup is recording via 2 standard guitar cables from POD XT to left & right inputs on EMU 1820 soundcard. Using Nuendo & Reason for recording and sequencing plus m audio radium 49 keyboard.
