TASCAM US-122 ground noise

I have been using my US-122 for a while with my laptop and had no problem
ground noise wise, but when i had to connect it ot my desktop a strange high
pitch noise appeared.
It is not your average ground noise (or maybe it is) i changed my computer`s
power cable with a non grounded plug but the noise is still there.
anyone heard of this?

I've used my us-122 in my house, which has no grounded plugs, and have not noticed any noise.

you might want to check or re-check the settings on that computer. drivers, settings in whichever program you are using to record. what were you running into the US-122 at the time? or is it just constant and only stops when you unplug it? I just got rid of my US-122. Never had a problem with it, just wanted to try and make a more versatile setup.
