I've got a problem with other audio bleeding onto the tracks I'm recording.

I use direct monitoring and none of the volumes (line out, direct, headphone) are ever up full yet there's still bleeding.

Does anyone else use one of these and have this problem? Is it inherent to this card or can it be solved?

The only time I had bleeding with my US122 was from the headphones being picked up by a bass.

Can you give us a little more detail?

yeah i'm not too sure of what you mean. i don't see how the internals of the tascam could cause bleeding per se. are you recording two sources at once? if so, that's pretty unavoidable, especially if you are using condensor mics. Or, are you talking about bleeding of your previously recorded tracks? if so, check out the cool edit forum. there was a post about how some tracks bleed onto others for some reason. that may be a problem on to cool edit users though

Mr_Coffeekiller. I think i encountered the same problem. Mine was where especially when i was recording bass guitar for some reason the backing track would be recorded at a low volume in the background of the bass guitar track.
UNfortunately i never found a way of getting rid of this. I thought it may even be a dodgy usb cable. luckilly it was at such a low volume that it wasn't a real problem for my mixes.
You may want to give tascam a call.
Sorry i can't be of more help

fire Dome, that's exactly my problem. It's not loud but when I'm trying to record a solo bass/guitar piece you can make out the click track/drums I record to. In full songs it's no problem like you said.

Did you ever try and change the usb connection?

APL: could you tell me how you used it, direct or not or anything else you might think is relevent. I never record two sources at once and DI all my instrumentation. The only thing I use a mic with is vocals.

I noticed it with the click bleeding into the bass track I was recording. AFAIK, it's simply the interaction of the signal in the headphone cable with the guitar pickup. I don't think it shows up when I monitor through the monitors.
