There's a 2nd hand 38 going for about $600 - assuming that it's in decent shap ( although I'm betting I'll need to get it serviced ) how worthwhile are they? How dependable or otherwise, and how good do they sound? Should I be waiting for a better machine to come along?
Most of the older Tascams are pretty good, it really depends on the hours on the heads,+ how much use, misuse, abuse, it's had. I've had the priveledge so far ( knock-knock ) to see and try out the thing before buying. I always want to see heads first before plunking down the bucks.
