(I posted this first in the Alesis forum, but then thought maybe it's more of a Live issue.)
I have an ADAT XT-20 that I am using as an interface between an analog TEAC board and my EMU 1212m Ableton Live 8 system. The sound seems to be traveling fine, except I can hear a delay in the headphones coming out of the card (about a half a second or so) and thus can not overdub in time. Is this an issue that can be solved by syncing word clocks and if so, could anybody give me some pointers? I have Patch mix set to source: external: adat and the adat is set to internal. Everything is running at 44.1 khz. The syncing options in Ableton seem all MIDI related...
I was so excited to get all 8 channels into the computer for a couple minutes there.
