How do i sweeten my mix or tracks?

What processors sweeten mixes or tracks?

What are some sweetening techniques i can do ?
to my tracks or mixes?

Can you be more specific? What kind of tracks? Drums, vocals, etc. What kind of sweetening... what does sweetening mean in this context?

I prefer pure cane sugar, but you can use an artificial sweetner if you are on a diet. The tracks just don't taste as good with the artificial sweetner though. :p

try pouring ice cream all over your mixer.

oh and if i'm not mistaken, i do recall there being an essay written on this particular subject. i think ez is searching for it as we speak...

Drink honey but stay away from the red rope liccorice to the left of the stage

Yes anything what can i do ?

What kind is there what types?

I tried the ice cream on the mixer, it didn't work very well and it melted all over the place. Maybe I used the wrong flavor, vanilla is so plain and useless, fish-food is where its at.

I don't know much about the subject but I do know that there are some EQs and i think compressors such as the Wave's Renaissance EQ that are considered "sweet" eqs. Why? I dont really know. The waves EQ though behaves a certain way so that when you use a shelf it dips the gain in the opposite direction of the shelf for the frequencies just before it. That may or may not have something to do with being a sweet EQ.

the ice cream is supposed to melt all over the place, then it because sweet cream. that not only sweetens the mix, but adds some milky and creaminess to it. ;)

It will also prepare the mixer for future sweetening trix!! Just make sure you do not get too addicted to its flavour. Try different flavours of ice cream for additional colouring of your mixes. Not all flavours are available in all countries, but this will make your mixes only rarer [ and therefore, more sought after ;) ]

Good luck :)

I sweeten my tracks by mixing down to analog and back to my Cakewalk system. This really gives my songs alot of analog sound. This summer, I have been working alot mowing lawns and maybe (cross my fingers) I can get a digital delay. I got this idea from my friends at Harmony Central.A digital delay will sweeten my tracks alot, and with the analog sound, I will be able to come very close to professional sounding records.
So, digital delays sweeten and mixing to analog and back to cakewalk will sweeten. Together, they sweeten alot.

Same old bullshit, eh skippy?

For those that don't know, it's come out at HC.com that skippy is actually a reasonably knowledgeable guy who's playing a huge practical joke.... so I wouldn't put a whole lot of effort in humouring him with attempts at serious replies.......

Powdered sugar is the best in the world though ;)

I don't know if I'd give him that much credit.

Maybe a step or two above the IQ of a Q-tip swab.

But overall, not much smarter than his Walter alter-ego. Kinda' reminds me of that line from Mixerman's book: Why would a retard act like a retard?

everyone here is just plain wrong. it's obvious that honey is the best way to sweeten tracks. bunch of amateurs here :D

Could Walters be Bob Katz in disguise? Maybe he's secretly trying to be the first member to achieve the dreaded three red reputation boxes?
