That must be the sweetest guitar that I've heard in a long time
Thanx, CJ!!

Actually this song was recorded over 2 years ago on my old Korg D8 and mixed on a cheapo bookshelf stereo system.
Unfortunately, that's all we had to work with at the time.
The vocals were recorded with an AKG C3000, using a Peavey P.A. head as a preamp. (duh!.... I've upgraded MASSIVELY since then)

The vocals were sang twice to get that thicker sound, then panned out.
The sax player is a friend of mine. He's a professional player and teacher. The guy has great feel.... I just wish we had better equipment at the time to do him justice. (SM58... no preamp)

Great Job, I think that this is your best one yet, really nice.
Excellent, David... Thanx much!

And YES, we DO like to do long distance collaborations!
We just had Teddie Tapawan (AKA SmartApple) here from Virginia last weekend. Teddie and us collaborated on the song "Doin' Nothin", which is also on our page. We wrote and recorded all the music, then sent Teddie the song with a scratch vocal track done by me. Teddie then recorded his vocals and sent it back to us and we mixed the song down here at my studio. This was several months before we actually met him in person. The song has remained in the Top 40 of the General Blues charts for months on MP3-dot-com under the "SmartApple" name.
We were actually thinking of re-recording "Nothing But Candlelight" on my updated 24-bit equipment... (along with MUCH better mics and cables). I could only imagine how great some REAL strings would sound on it!

I'll talk to my partner and see if he's willing to re-do... then I'll get back to you, ok?

Thanks for sharing that. Divine.
Glad you liked it, bro!
My partner wrote the music and I wrote the lyrics.... it's based on my long-distance romance with my wife, who lived 300 miles away from me when we got engaged.
Straight from the heart.
