Same tune, different thread.......

Yeah, sounds great, as I suspected. <<<~ I have nothing to add to this.

:thumbs up:
Awesome, man. Thanx.

Once I clean up the source of those clicks that have been mentioned and figure out why my snare is phasing, I think I can move on. I'm pretty sick of this frickin' tune anyway.

I didn't get to the other thread, so I don't have a basis of comparison. But anyway...

Vocals sound terrific.

Like the guitars a bunch.

Drums sound great. Personal taste - I'd like a little more low-midrange in the kick sound. A bit sterile for my tastes.

Some sort of click at about 2:07. Might have been a sound made by a guitar.

I'd turn down the low end just a bit. Both the bass and kick. To me the mix is a little low heavy.

Thanx a lot. Others hear that click, too, among a few other clicks. When I get the time, I'll put on the headphones and solo every instrument until I find what it is.

Seems like everyone except Dobro finds the mix a little low heavy. Dobro finds it a bright mix, which I don't hear at this point.

Thanx guys.

FWIW, this mix is definitely not bright on my monitors, but on my "bright" headphones (Grado SR-225), your vocals could use a bit of a tone-down in the brightness area, but nothing else... (probably around 3 - 3.5K). That said, I don't find this mix to be bass-heavy either. It's pretty tight.

Thanx man. That's what I thought. As much as I'm still getting used to my new monitors, I was pretty sure it's not a bright mix.

Okay, let's explore this. I find the opening guitar, the main vocal and the bvs slightly bright. So, let's say they're not bright. I'm okay with that. That would mean, however, that this mix I've just done is too dark, right?

This isn't a trawl for mix comments. I'm trying to learn something here.

Your mix sounds fine to me. I think others have said that my intro guitar (which I've addressed since) and opening vocal ARE a little bright, but that the overall mix is bass-y once the whole "band" comes in.

I seemed to remember your other tracks having a little more airiness to them so I went to your site to compare. It really depends on the song (Drive Me Mad sounds real close) but this one really rocks. You sometimes have different sounds on the guitars that "lightens" the feel of the song. I like that sound but you obviously won't use that on every song. I think you're making great progress with the new monitors and this song sounds good with the guitars blending if that is what you were going for. If not, maybe the influence from the collaboration with Gregor has had horrible repercussions!

Nice tune. I think it sounds quite nice. EQ'd nicely to my liking. But overall EQ is a personal thing. What I like and what you like maybe shite to some one else :)

Sounds great.
The changes seem to have added to the tune.
I TRIED to hear the comb filter on the snare but couldn't.
I wish I had 1/3 of Greg's ears.
Good revision Rami.

Actually, this is about a month old, if not more. Dobro revived it with his last post, but I'm trying to let this thread die. Thanx alot though, Ray.
