I use ver. 1.5 and would like to see the following improvements.
My first suggestion is quite simple. There are currently three tabs in the work area window, “Edit View”, “Multitrack View”, and “CD Project View”. I would like to see a forth and fifth tabs added.
One could be “Mixer View” and the other could be user assignable for any other window the user wants. (This could even be made to include automatic temporary tabs which pop up for any opened windows until they are closed.)
My second suggestion concerns temp files and saving. If I record a live band for an hour or more using several tracks simultaneously, the temp files grow quite large. Even though I use two parallel temp folders, they can consume up to half of my available disc space and take a long time to save to disc after recording. I need a way to record direct-to-disc without using any temp files at all. That way, when the band takes a break, I don’t have to spend the entire break naming and saving files. (If you can’t do that, then at least give me a “batch save” command so I don’t have to baby sit for twenty minutes while saving 24 files.)
Anyone else?
Thanks,
