Studio Projects B3 vs. Behringer B2 Pro

The Studio Projects is probably the best mic you'll find anywhere for that money.
The Behringer I wouldn't give you 5c for. And that's not just because it's a Behringer.

I have good experiences with the Behringer B2... There I said it:)

I know it's cool to bash Behringer but for it's money, the B2 is a good mic.

B3 absolutely. No contest.

I want to own a dot-matched pair of B3 for their multi-pattern abilities.

I bought a pair of B3's and they're more than worth the money. I've been thinking about getting a B2, but there are other things I'd rather have. For about the same money, I'd go with the B3's. BTW - I own lots of Behringer gear (including other mics) so I'm not against them in any way. The only problem I have with them is support. Studio Projects seems to have great customer support, plus you can actually speak with the owners on these boards. Behringer has a hard time returning e-mails. Just another opinion.

Behringer B2 is a rode NT2 rebadged...so its an OK mic...the B3 is a good all arround mic with 3 patterns.

From what I understand (and I could be mistaken) the NT2 is no longer made, and it was the last Rode model to be made in China. Rode now has their own factory here in Australia. The stores I visit don't even stock the NT2 any more.
So when it is said that the Behringer B2 is a re-badged NT2 (which may or may not be true), note that it is still nowhere near the quality of the current Rode range.

Been through this before.................the B2 IS NOT a rebadged NT2.

The only possibility of that being true is maybe in regard to the very early NT2 models.

Sweet....thanks alls. I think SP B3 might win over the Behringer now.
