Are you saying that you have 2 B1 mics, and there is a clear sound difference between the two of them?
Looney,
Well, yes - that is what I'm saying. Clear difference? Maybe.
The second B1 that I tested has a very slight deficiency in the low-mid to low range when compared to the first one. However, they both have the same "character".
Also, I noticed a small scratch on the second B1. With all of the testing these mics reportedly go through, I can understand how this might happen. It looks like someone with a wedding ring may have held it a little too tightly. Is it a coincidence that the one with a scratch is slightly less robust? I don't know.
Keep in mind that our testing was not very scientific, and that the difference is small - especially for a mic that is this affordable.
