Studio C0nstruction Help

let me just give u these details:
ok im building a small vocal booth, 4' wide on each side & 8' tall. now it will be on the corner in my basement, so i already have two natural walls so to say. the floor is concrete with carpeting but no foam under it. also i have a drop ceiling.

Now i plan to build the walls with a lot of insulating in them. im currently looking for a solid door (hopefully wit a window) & im thinking of getting those door jambers that seals the bottom the door. im not going to get a window & decided to go with the camera in the room. now where the natural walls are there is a little indent, kinda like a self.

ok the questions,
How can i properly insulate this room?
what should i do with the control room which will basically be besides it?
what can i do for ventilation and still keep outside noise out?
what can i do for the ceilings?
will the floor be a problem?
any other input would help me out so damn much... plz help
 
Bruce is a man of few words (well, sometimes anyway). If you didn't catch the drift of his post, he provided a link to what most around here consider to be one of the best studio design and construction resources available.

Read it, meditate on it, and don't be afraid to keep asking questions. But realize that everyone's first answer on this forum will be to read that manual before asking your second question.

Another place to seek information is at John Sayer's Studio Design forum (johnlsayers.com). John actually wrote the manual at the SAE site, and his forum is all about studio design and construction and NOTHING ELSE.

i decided to do a double wall using soundbaord/drywall/sound barrier vinyl/drywall/drywall.
