I walk the line
Can anyone with an acoustic-electric resonator recommend some strings? I've got a used one and don't know what's on it now. It's a very thin body, almost like a semi-acoustic Les Paul, with a mini-humbucker at the neck. I don't need new strings just yet, but I'm thinking about replacing the tuners. I'll probably be playing it slide in open G.

Thanks

I use GHS round wound 12's on mine but I'd imagine heavier strings would be cooler still.

I think the gauge of string is more important than the manufacturer. In general, I would suggest that you look for a gauge that works well with electronic slide guitar techniques. I would suggest you avoid a flat round string and certainly use a set of 12's or larger. GHS strings would certainly be a good option. I tend to be partial to D'Addario - and I use the D'Addario EJ22 sets. They are 13's designed primarily for jazz - but I've liked their tone and playablility for my eletronic resonator.
