Punkin, thanks for the tips. I actually already took it to the guy who rebuilt it. When he replaced the capacitors and did a couple other little things, the ghost notes went away.

There is still the buzz issue with the cabinet. I have tightened everything down, and it is still there. I was thinking about putting some silicon sealant all along where the speaker chassis meets the cabinet. Can anyone think of a downside to doing this?

A buzz in the cabinet may be caused by junk that has accumulated in the speaker cone itself. Remember, in a speaker is a magnet that will attract any metal filings that are in the vicinity. In my work with audio circuits, it is often these metal fragments that will give a horrible, buzzy, sound, so you will have to take the speaker loose from the speaker cabinet and check for this metal debris.
Best way to clean it out once the speaker it out-use another magnet to attract the fragments away from the speaker cone.
Hope this helps you.
