Soundcraft compact 4 for live use?

I know on the net they state that this soundcraft compact mixer is mainly for homerecording and computors but has anyone ever used these for live applications?

The good thing i have heard about these little mixers is that the mic pre's are meant to be the same as the E series.

I have a RCF ART 310-A 10" active speaker plus a Lexicon MX200 reverb rack unit. I was thinking of linking this all up.

I can't think of any reason you couldn't.
It's all going to turn out to be how many channels and buses you need live, just as you would need to consider in a studio.

I contacted souncraft and ask the guy from costomer services. He said yes I can have just the reverb unit going through the vocals . he said I needed a Y cable with a stereo TRS lead on one end which should go into the insert vocal connection on the Soundcraft mixer and the other two mono ends going into my Lexicon unit in the left and right analog inputs and outputs.

Its funny as i asked the folks at turnkey and they said that the Lexicon can only go thru the whole mixer meaning that what amount of reverb I apply to the vocals will have to come out on the guiter DI line input too.

I'll try it out tonight.

Its great to know that this little mixer does have quite a few options for its size , I did buy one of those tapco mix 60's and there are ok at first i was quite impressed as they are good value for the price but I believe the mic pre's on the soundcraft are more better, i have had a taste of some soundcraft gear before . I have a Soundcraft Gigrac 300 which only has two band eq's but the mic pre's are really warm sounding.

But i have never tried the soundcraft compact passive mixers before.
