One final suggestion from me.

In Options > Audio > Advanced there is a setting for I/O buffer size. Have you played with that setting? Try it using different multiples, i.e., 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, etc.

If that doesn't help, try changing the buffer latency in the Delta control panel and then doing the above again.

In other words, see if you can find a combination of latency in the Delta Control Panel and the Sonar I/O Buffer that eliminates the problem. I have a machine that will only run properly when the Sonar buffer is set at 64. Any other setting and I get dropouts.

Worth a try if you haven't already been down this road. :)

OK I had wild problem when the PC was in ACPI mode. You may have to change your OS to "standard PC" settings. This way the IRQs wont be all shared.

Check this:
Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager> and click on "computer". Is this "ACPI" or "Standard PC" ? You will have to have this in Standard PC"

Also go to Control panel>adminstrative tools>system information>hardware resources> and click on "conflict/sharing" and "IRQ". There should not be any conflicts. You must change to "standard PC" settings for best performace.

If you change over to "standard PC" make sure you back up everyhting important....just incase....

PS: I am using SONAR 1.3/Win2000/Delta66 OMNISTUDIO

You know that by doing this you run the risk of having to re-install the OS? Especially if you are running XP OS.

Be prepared for an evening of fun and adventure. This is somewhere between a 3 and 6 beer solution if things go wrong.

Yes there are risks. Mine went smooth.
Do at your own risk....good luck!
