I love the smell

I spent the past however-long soldering all the electronics in my project guitar. I'm pretty excited since this is the first time this guitar has actually looked like a guitar in over a year. Somehow somewhere at some point I lost the output jack though
I was thinking of installing a "killswitch" but I can't do that until I get an output jack (I see a trip to dumbshit guitar center in my future).

Up next is buying a floyd rose for it... Which won't be for quite a while since I have so many other things to do

For sake of anyone in here who solders regularly, I hope you're using silver solder instead of lead solder. Or at least not using lead solder.

There are leaded and lead-free silver solders. And I think most people here that are in the US other than me are still using leaded solder.

Enjoy this place and space in your life cause this too shall pass. As each year goes past the wheel of times momentum increases exponentially....By the time your 50 you're rolling down a freeking hill heading for a dead end crash

And no duh! as long as I got that foil on my guitar and I'm touching the string THEY won't be able to read my mind.

Very wise maneuver ..but you need to be sure your bare footed and grounded too to ensure no bleed through.. THEY'RE tricky like that.

What's the point in having a kill switch on a guitar? If you want silence, can't you just turn the volume all the way down?

Because it sounds cool to rapidly switch it on and off while a chord or note rings out.

Well that too, but I was gonna say why not?

Sorta like the tin foil shielding... If it's not hurting anything then why not?
Again, this is a test guitar

By the time I'm done it will probably have a jet engine built into it

Cavity shielding, kill switch, transformer for a balanced output... woo doggy this is gonna be a fun guitar!

I do; I'm in Australia, always 60/40 leaded type. I have ventilation and wash my hands afterwards but have never gotten to using gloves... if soldering kills me, better that than ass cancer I say.

I've been living in a hospital and have only gotten to play guitar once in the past two weeks
